Kaiser Watsonville receives AIA Silicon Valley Citation Award
We are excited to share the news that Kaiser Watsonville MOB received an AIA Silicon Valley Design Award! The Award was presented at a virtual ceremony on Thursday evening, October 29. We very much appreciate the opportunity to work with Kaiser, XL, and our Design partners to make this project a success!
“The adaptive reuse strategy here is really smart. The way the public space has been laid out is really natural and follows the retail typology of a storefront. The jury really enjoyed the feeling that you are going to see something interesting through the windows. At a point in society where healthcare is only going to be more important, this project resonates in a really positive way. It’s definitely on-brand for Kaiser, but you get the sense that they took a risk and the jury really appreciated that.”
