Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Wins Green Project of the Year Award

01-Oct-2009

The new Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Headquarters in Palo Alto, designed by Hawley Peterson Snyder and built by Blach Construction, received “Green Project of the Year“ in the Private project category at this year’s San Jose Business Journal Structures Awards program. Over 500 people attended the awards ceremony at the San Jose Marriott on September 24.

During his acceptance speech, Ken Moore announced with pleasure that this was “truly the dream team – the team’s attention to detail was superb and the results reflect that.”

The project is a registered LEED project currently under review by the U.S. Green Building Council. It is anticipated that it will achieve at least a gold rating.
