The San Jose/ Silicon Valley Business Journal's Structures Awards honors those who have made significant contributions in the commercial building industry, from architects to brokers, with judging input from an expert panel. Hawley Peterson Snyder was awarded Architectural Firm of the Year and the Firm's UC Santa Cruz Cowell Student Health Center was honored as Green Project of the Year- Public.

Winner: Green Project of the Year - Public
University of California, Santa Cruz Cowell Student Health Center
"UC Santa Cruz was aiming for silver, but wound up with gold when the university upgraded its Cowell Student Health Center. The $19 million campus project surpassed the criteria for a silver LEED rating and became the first building on campus to receive a gold certification for its sustainable design features."
This is the second Green Project of the Year Awarded to HPS in the last three years.
The winners were announced at a gala celebration at the Fairmont in San Jose on September 20th.
