Description:

We are seeking a mid-level to senior architect with excellent technical and production abilities, capable of coordinating consultants, working with staff in the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents, as well as construction administration. Candidate should be experienced with building codes applications and proficient in REVIT, Excel and Word. LEED A.P. a definite plus.

Job Requirements:

•Architectural degree from an accredited university.
•Current architectural license in the United States.
•Minimum of 6 - 10+ years project production experience including contract administration.
•Candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to lead a team to efficiently generate and produce design development through to accurate construction documents, including overall site and building code compliance, building detailing of all architectural elements for new buildings as well as tenant improvements.
•Have the ability to formulate and outline specifications with in-house or outside consultant and to review the final product for completeness.
•Demonstrate their ability to interface documents with work of consultants including the coordinated integration of building structure and systems.
•Have the skills necessary to work effectively with principal-in-charge and project design team to maintain project progress within a specified fee structure, insure quality management and document quality standards.
•Position requires good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
•Ability to contribute to effective proposals and presentations at interviews.
•Ability to independently develop and present functional design for entire projects.
•Ability to effectively manage client and user groups interface.
•Ability to manage prime and consultant contracts.
•Ability to be leader to staff teams.
•Ability to develop and manage work plans and schedules.
•Ability to monitor revenue projections, staff projections, and billings..
•Ability to manage teams of consultants.
•Ability to perform bidding and construction administration services.

Responsibilities:
•Act as a representative of the firm.
•Team member for proposals and interviews.
•Design of entire projects.
•Primary contact with clients, user groups, and consultants.
•Management of prime and consultant contracts.
•Management of internal fee budgets, schedules and work plans.
•Leader of design and production staff teams.
•Direct interface with client and user groups.
•Review documents to ensure quality, coordination, and compliance with the requirements of deliverables in all phases.
•Ensure that client standards and all HPS protocols are followed.
•Guide and direct project team and consultants for appropriate materials and systems.
•Review documents for code compliance in all phases and issue code interpretations.
•Review construction cost estimates and conduct value analysis.
•Review and approve changes in collaboration with the project design team and client.
•Supervise and resolve issues in preparation of construction documents.
•Coordinate with government agencies, utility companies, and resolve plan check and approval issues with the agencies.
•Demonstrate capabilities of Construction Administrator.
•Write meeting minutes, bulletins, change orders, RFI responses, and professional correspondence for self-managed projects.
•Responsible for the completeness of the specifications.


Marketing:
• Participate in proposals - research, writing, and presentation.
• Provide accurate and complete project information.
• Contribute to project information database and provide project description for marketing and archival reference.
• Active involvement in client-oriented organizations.
• Mentor/train internal team staff regarding project documentation.
• Support marketing effort - attend events.

Various other duties including:
• Staff development (mentoring and training).
